Its 2013 and Wordpress has a real lot to provide! A conventionally great platform, equally useful for bloggers as well as developers, this section of technocrats' brains has already done a wonderful job in snatching away hearts of millions of users. And the journey has simply not stopped! Wordpress has off late come up with its latest Wordpress 3.5, more lovingly called Elvin! And yes, we love Elvin, just like we loved the human one! So what's so new about this version? Let's find out!

Well thought by designers around, now, it would no more be about header images and no fidgeting with specifications regarding sizes. A simple default theme, with a minimalistic design, integrated with the responsive design concept and absolutely friendly for surfers who use mobiles! Really a lot packed into one! It is simple, retina friendly and most importantly, very easy to optimize in your own sweet way!

A new media manager

Those who have been using this platform for quite a good amount of time, are bound to notice the difference. There has been a lot of grumbling and grudging regarding the media integration facility that Wordpress had earlier to provide. Yes, they have worked on that. Galleries are now extremely easy to put in with the new drag and drop thing. There is now a single 'add media' button at the top of the edit post page. And what more, images can now be edited in the editor itself! There is a provision to name your image, scribble in alternate text and describe the image. And what is the use? Well, some of the SEO aspect is solved by this new media manager almost automatically!

A better User Interface.

Eyes are best at gain now. It more beautiful, more sophisticated and way stickier than before! The entire Wordpress team has really done wonders in crafting this phenomenal User Interface! And they have named it retina ready one! Good naming skill! For developers, the new Meta queries are the latest attraction, not to miss out the added Underscore and Backbone java-script libraries!

In short, it has all for all! Better look, better support, better back end control and better user friendliness, Elvin is truly the best!
